This fragment compresses materials collected during a period of uncertainty into a dense material form. Letters, medical documentation and prescription medication were embedded within layers of Jesmonite. Pauses between layers evoke periods of waiting. Elements lose their identity to become part of a shared material record. I was initially unsure whether to cut this piece. During demoulding, the material broke open at the corner, revealing a glimpse of its contents.
